Become an Oxide Catalyst

Applications are reviewed by the Oxide team. Please be specific and honest. Catalyst numbers are permanent.

Before you submit

  • This form expresses interest. It does not create an Oxide account, and no invitation code is required.
  • Imogen Strange and Zach Tyler review each application by hand. Acceptance is not automatic.
  • If you are accepted, Oxide generates a unique invitation code for you.
  • An Oxide team member contacts you in Second Life with an acceptance message or notecard containing your code and the exact next steps.

Oxide Catalyst Agreement

Oxide is currently under active development. As an Oxide Catalyst, you may receive access to confidential software, artwork, screenshots, documentation, discussions, planning materials, and unreleased features. By submitting this application you acknowledge and agree that: • All unreleased information provided by Oxide is confidential unless officially made public. • You will not share screenshots, videos, discussions, software, documentation, artwork, or any confidential material without written permission. • This confidentiality obligation continues even if you leave the project. • This is a volunteer opportunity only. • No employment relationship is created. • No wages, salary, ownership, equity, or financial compensation are promised or implied. • Either you or Oxide may end participation at any time. • If participation ends, access to Discord, development resources, testing environments, documentation, and internal systems may be revoked immediately. • Oxide may modify, delay, or cancel features at any time. • Acceptance into the Oxide Catalyst Program is not guaranteed. • Applications are reviewed individually. • Oxide Catalyst status may be revoked if confidential information is shared, if serious misconduct occurs, or if actions intentionally harm the Oxide project or community. • If accepted, your invitation will be delivered in-world to your Second Life avatar. • Most communication with the Oxide team takes place through Discord. • By submitting this application, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms.

Oxide Catalyst Program Agreement

Oxide Confidentiality Agreement

Being an Oxide Catalyst means seeing Oxide work before the rest of Second Life does. Keeping that work private is a condition of taking part in the Oxide Catalyst Program. By acknowledging this agreement you agree that: • Private Oxide information may only be discussed with approved Oxide team members and approved Oxide Catalysts, inside authorized private Oxide channels. • You will not share, post, forward, stream, record, reproduce, or discuss private Oxide material with anyone who is not approved. • Protected material includes unreleased Oxide Viewer or Oxide Connect features, screenshots, screen recordings, builds, downloads, files, code, technical details, roadmaps, plans, testing instructions, bug reports, feedback, staff messages, private Discord content, in-world conversations, invitation codes, access links, credentials, and anything else identified as private or reasonably understood to be private. • Information that Oxide has already released publicly is not confidential. Anything else may only be shared after Oxide publicly releases it, or after an authorized Oxide team member gives you written permission. • Invitation codes, access links, credentials, and private builds are issued to you personally and must never be transferred or shared. • If something is disclosed by accident, or you lose control of access credentials, you will tell the Oxide team promptly so access can be protected. • On request, or when you leave the Oxide Catalyst Program, you will stop using and delete the private Oxide materials in your possession. • Breaking this agreement may result in immediate removal from the Oxide Catalyst Program, revocation of access, invalidation of invitation codes or private builds, and loss of Catalyst status. • This obligation continues after you leave the program, until the information is officially public or written permission is given. • Nothing here prevents you from reporting safety concerns, abuse, security issues, or unlawful conduct to the appropriate platform, service, or authorities. This is an Oxide Catalyst Program participation condition and a matter of trust between residents. It is not a legal contract, and Oxide does not ask for your real legal name. You acknowledge it with the Second Life avatar name you entered above.

Oxide Catalyst Program participation condition. Oxide is not a registered legal entity, and this is not a legal contract.
