Getting started
Verify your Second Life identity
Use the existing in-world Identity Terminal flow without sharing your Second Life password.
- Who can do this
- Signed-in residents linking their own avatar.
- Where to find it
- Profile menu, Settings, Second Life identity.
Steps
- Open Settings and choose Second Life identity.
- Read your current identity status. If already verified, no new verification is needed.
- If verification is needed, select Generate verification code in the existing verification panel.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to touch an Oxide Identity Terminal in Second Life and enter the code using the avatar you are linking.
- Return to Oxide and check the verification status.
What happens next
The existing verification flow proves control of the avatar. Public profile details alone do not verify ownership.
Good to know
- Oxide never asks for your Second Life password or private account details.
- If the page reports an incomplete or conflicting identity, follow its repair instructions or ask an Oxide manager. Do not try to replace the linked identity through profile importing.
